With the heritage roses, which are often referred to as "old roses" are generally from rose cultivars whose origins can be traced back to before 1867. They usually grow as shrub roses and require lots of room in order to fully develop. Most varieties are very hardy. Many of the varieties have disappeared over time; however the tried and tested have been preserved until today and still captivate numerous rose lovers.
